Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Available to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure

Job Duties

  • Warmly welcome guests as they arrive creating a positive first impression
  • Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
  • Answer incoming phone calls take and fill to-go and curbside orders clean organize and stock menus and perform other assigned side work
  • Track table status and manage the seating chart to ensure efficient and balanced table assignments Coordinate with servers and bussers to optimize table turnover and minimize wait times
  • Take names and phone numbers for the waiting list and quote accurate wait times to guests when tables are not immediately available
  • Clearly communicate wait times and manage guest expectations Provide updates as needed and ensure guests are informed of any changes
  • Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally Provide information about the menu and specials as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized host station Ensure that the waiting area and entrance are tidy and welcoming
  • Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations Relay any special requests or issues to the appropriate team members
  • Handle guest complaints or issues with empathy and efficiency escalating to management if necessary
