Job Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years unless otherwise dictated by state law
- Arrive to work on time and ready to perform duties
- Follow all Miller's Ale House policies including time recording such as clocking in and out
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work and entrance areas
- Wash hands every 20 minutes to maintain sanitation
- Support teamwork by assisting other front-of-house functions as needed
- Notify management immediately about any problems with guests, team members, or wait times
- Ability to communicate clearly and timely with managers, team members, and guests
- Complete all side work and ensure stations are properly stocked
- Maintain restroom cleanliness and stock
- Ability to meet physical demands including extended standing and walking and occasional lifting
- Exhibit a friendly and professional attitude towards guests and colleagues
Job Qualifications
- Warm, upbeat, and energetic demeanor
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic reading and handwriting skills
- Ability to operate restaurant front door seating software
- At least 18 years of age or as dictated by state law
- Friendly disposition and attentiveness to guests

- Willingness to complete all assigned tasks
- Ability to remain standing and walking for extended periods
- Capability to perform reaching, bending, squatting, and lifting up to 20 lbs for short distances
- Ability to work with varying noise levels
Job Duties
- Greet guests warmly and acknowledge all guests within five feet of their location
- Seat guests according to their seating preference when possible
- Rotate seating among servers to balance workloads and ensure prompt service
- Provide departing guests with a warm salutation and invitation to return
- Support service team members by bussing dishes, sanitizing, and resetting tables as needed
- Manage guest placement in the entrance area to enhance experience and ensure safety
- Maintain a neat and organized workstation and entrance area
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth operations
- Provide accurate wait times and suggest waiting options such as seating at the bar
- Answer incoming restaurant calls professionally and friendly
- Complete tasks on host opening and closing sidework charts
- Ensure restrooms are clean, tidy, and stocked
- Notify management immediately of any potential issues with guests, team members, or long wait times
- Adhere to safety and sanitation protocols throughout the shift
