Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Basic mathematic skills and ability to handle cash and operate a POS system accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Texas Food Handlers Certification
- TABC certification for serving alcohol if 18 years of age
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods, move at a rapid pace, bend, twist, and lift products weighing up to 35 pounds
Job Qualifications

- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role is preferred but not required
- Working knowledge of point-of-sale systems preferred
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Job Duties
- Warmly welcome guests as they arrive, creating a positive first impression
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
- Answer incoming phone calls, take and fill to-go and curbside orders, clean, organize and stock menus, and perform other assigned side work
- Track table status and manage the seating chart to ensure efficient and balanced table assignments
- Coordinate with servers and bussers to optimize table turnover and minimize wait times
- Take names and phone numbers for the waiting list and quote accurate wait times to guests when tables are not immediately available
- Clearly communicate wait times and manage guest expectations, provide updates as needed and ensure guests are informed of any changes
- Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, provide information about the menu and specials as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized host/hostess station, ensure that the waiting area and entrance are tidy and welcoming
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations, relay any special requests or issues to the appropriate team members
- Handle guest complaints or issues with empathy and efficiency, escalating to management if necessary
