Job Requirements

  • Must be available to work all days of the week
  • Nights
  • Weekends and holidays
  • Hours may vary
  • To have a balance in the room at all times, including: music, air conditioning, noise levels, etc
  • Standing for up to six hours at a time
  • Walking up and down stairs multiple times per day
  • Moving tables and chairs as needed to accommodate members & guests
  • Working indoors as well as outdoors

Job Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Previous fine dining and/or upscale experience
  • Minimum 6 months of experience as a host/hostess in an upscale dining venue
  • Experience dealing with the public
  • Possess a friendly, outgoing personality
  • Must enjoy dealing with members and guests
  • Possess good, common sense
  • Have organizational ability

Job Duties

  • To receive the members and guests with confidence and assurance that each visit to the restaurant will be held to The Beach Club standards
  • To monitor reservations and phone calls
  • To keep abreast of all club events, (dining and special events & parties), and disseminate this information to members and guests
  • Present the information in a positive manner so as to promote the events
  • To keep the kitchen informed about reservations and parties, (increases/decreases in size)
  • Find out about specials: soup du jour, desserts & special entrees
  • Greet members by proper name announcement
  • Keep all menus organized, clean and up-to-date
  • Change out menus for special events (Lunch menus/dinner menus, etc)
