Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- basic mathematic skills and ability to handle cash and operate a POS system accurately
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen equipment
- ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- excellent organizational and time management abilities
- ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Texas Food Handlers Certification
- TABC certification for serving alcohol if 18 years of age
- ability to stand for prolonged periods, move at a rapid pace, bend, twist, and lift products weighing up to 35 pounds
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age

- previous experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role is preferred but not required
- working knowledge of point-of-sale systems preferred
- high school diploma or GED preferred
- Texas Food Handlers Certification
- TABC certification for serving alcohol if 18 years of age
Job Duties
- Warmly welcome guests as they arrive, creating a positive first impression
- escort guests to their tables and provide menus
- answer incoming phone calls
- take and fill to-go and curbside orders
- clean, organize and stock menus
- perform other assigned side work
- track table status and manage the seating chart to ensure efficient and balanced table assignments
- coordinate with servers and bussers to optimize table turnover and minimize wait times
- take names and phone numbers for the waiting list and quote accurate wait times to guests when tables are not immediately available
- clearly communicate wait times and manage guest expectations
- provide updates as needed and ensure guests are informed of any changes
- address guest inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally
- provide information about the menu and specials as needed
- maintain a clean and organized host/hostess station
- ensure that the waiting area and entrance are tidy and welcoming
- collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
- relay any special requests or issues to the appropriate team members
- handle guest complaints or issues with empathy and efficiency, escalating to management if necessary
