Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Basic knowledge of cash handling and customer service practices
  • Ability to effectively communicate with diverse customers and team members
  • Physical capability to perform light cleaning and assisting with service tasks

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in customer service or restaurant environment is an asset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Basic math skills for handling payments

Job Duties

  • Greeting and welcoming all customers immediately upon arrival and verifying number in their party
  • Determining special needs such as high chairs or special menus
  • Collecting payment from customers in accordance with cash handling procedures
  • Inquiring about food and service satisfaction and handling customer complaints and suggestions appropriately
  • Seating customers at appropriate tables or booths and introducing feature of the day
  • Keeping the hostess area stocked and clean including to-go items and bakery products
  • Handling incoming telephone calls and taking to-go orders as appropriate
