Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to greet and seat guests promptly
  • knowledge of restaurant operations
  • ability to handle guest complaints professionally
  • capability to use telephone and manage reservations
  • punctuality and reliable attendance
  • physical ability to perform duties including standing and walking for extended periods

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role preferred
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Serve food and beverage items
  • clear tables and return all equipment to their respective areas
  • ensure service safety by transporting all equipment properly
  • attend to spills and breakage immediately
  • assist guests in being seated
  • be friendly, thorough, accurate and efficient in delivering meals
  • complete daily setup work as required
  • receive and seat guests
  • maintain order and cleanliness
  • address complaints
  • act as cashier
  • act as room service order-taker or runner
  • smile and greet guests immediately
  • escort guests to tables
  • present menu and place in front of guests
  • answer telephone politely and promptly
  • take dining room and room service orders efficiently
  • inspect dining room and direct service personnel to change table linen or set tables
  • take table reservations
  • have complete knowledge of restaurant, menu and services
  • present checks promptly
  • use customer service standards to amaze guests
  • handle special requests
  • anticipate guest needs
  • respond and resolve guest complaints
  • use guests' names
  • actively ask for feedback
  • be knowledgeable about the local area and hotel services
