Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a customer-facing role preferred
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Basic proficiency with cash registers and phone systems
  • Availability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor
  • Ability to follow company policies and procedures strictly

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
  • Knowledge of restaurant seating and waitlist management
  • Basic cash handling skills
  • Familiarity with phone etiquette and to-go order processing
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude and team player mentality
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Open the door for every guest entering the restaurant
  • Immediately greet every guest within 15 seconds of their entry with a positive attitude and smiling face
  • Stand up front and make the first move in welcoming guests, avoiding standing behind the host stand
  • Make every guest feel wanted and appreciated upon arrival with eye contact
  • Warmly and graciously greet all guests with a sincere welcome message
  • Seat guests courteously and timely while communicating any delays
  • Maintain a waiting list and provide estimated wait times
  • Seat guests based on preferences and balance guest flow using the seating chart
  • Engage guests in conversation while escorting them to their tables
  • Provide menus and rolled silverware once guests are seated
  • Inform guests of specials, soup of the day, and server details
  • Relay messages to servers and bussers
  • Assist dining room staff as needed
  • Answer telephone calls professionally and according to company policy
  • Transfer calls or take messages as required
  • Assist guests with directions to the restaurant
  • Have full menu knowledge to assist with To-Go orders
  • Take and package To-Go orders accurately
  • Engage guests during To-Go order wait times
  • Verify completeness of To-Go orders before delivery
  • Complete To-Go transactions including cash handling
  • Perform opening, during shift, and closing duties
  • Communicate guest or employee issues to management
  • Report health and safety concerns immediately
  • Perform other assigned duties including side work
  • Ensure guests do not leave with glassware or beverages except for To-Go cups for non-alcoholic drinks
  • Enforce no outside food or drinks policy
  • Thank guests upon departure and invite them back
  • Open the door for departing guests when possible
