Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- fluent in English speaking and writing
- hospital experience a plus
- two year associate degree preferred
- ability to work per diem evening shifts including weekends and holidays
- ability to communicate effectively with patients and medical staff
- ability to evaluate patients for meal ordering capabilities

Job Duties
- Serve meals to patients in a professional, efficient manner
- explain patients the room service meal ordering process
- provide menu based on diet prescription
- evaluate patient s capability to utilize room service system
- communicate with nurse/dietitian to determine when patient unable to participate or needs assistance
- assist patients with meal order
- check that all patients have ordered and received meals
- communicate if patient refusing meals
- pick up trays post meal and bring trucks back to kitchen
- deliver nourishments
- check nourishment refrigerators
- act as liaison between patients and Food & Nutrition department
