Job Duties
- Greets and seats all guests in a friendly manner
- assists in maintaining the overall guest flow
- ensures seating service is rotated among server area assignments
- opens doors for arriving and departing guests
- remains visible in the front of house and faces the main entrance
- occasionally delivers food and drinks to guests
- interacts verbally with all guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere
- completes assigned opening and closing side work
- participates in clearing and resetting dining room tables using Applebee’s team delivery
- observes guests, responds to requests, and anticipates guest needs
- maintains a clean and organized workspace
- explains and demonstrates usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices to guests
- drives sales with suggestive selling
- accommodates special needs such as booster and high chairs
- manages the waitlist when the restaurant is busy
- may occasionally serve guests in Carside To-Go or Server assistance roles
- fills out feature sheets
- assists in general front of house maintenance including restroom upkeep, light cleaning tasks, window washing, sani-bucket rotation, expo line setup, trash emptying, silverware rolling, and maintaining restaurant curb appeal
