Job Requirements
- 16+ years old
- friendly and engaging demeanor
- prior work experience preferred
- reading, writing, and verbal communication skills required
- bi-lingual experience a plus

Job Duties
- Greets and seats all guests in a friendly manner
- assists in maintaining the overall guest flow of the restaurant
- ensures seating service is rotated among server area assignments whenever possible
- opens doors for arriving and departing guests
- remains visible in the front of house and forward facing the main entrance
- occasionally delivers food and drinks to guests when extra assistance is needed
- interacts verbally with all guests creating a friendly and upbeat environment
- completes assigned opening and closing side work as scheduled
- participates in the clearing and resetting of the dining room tables using Applebee’s team delivery system
- observes guests, responds to requests, and anticipates guests’ needs
- maintains a clean and organized work environment
- explains and demonstrates usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices to guests
- drives sales with suggestive selling
- accommodates any special needs of guests such as booster chairs, high chairs, and other requests
- manages the waitlist when the restaurant is busy
- occasionally serves guests in a Carside To-Go or Server role
- fills out feature cards
- assists in general Front of House maintenance functions including maintaining restrooms, light cleaning such as dusting light fixtures, furniture, woodwork, and artifacts, washing and wiping windows, sani-bucket rotation, setting up the expo line, emptying trash, rolling silverware, and maintaining restaurant curb appeal
