Job Duties
- Greets and seats all guests in a friendly manner
- Assists in maintaining the overall guest flow of the restaurant
- Ensures seating service is rotated among server area assignments
- Opens doors for arriving and departing guests
- Remains visible in the front of house and facing the main entrance
- Occasionally delivers food and drinks to guests when extra assistance is needed
- Interacts verbally with all guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere
- Completes assigned opening and closing side work
- Participates in the clearing and resetting of dining room tables using team delivery methods
- Observes guests, responds to requests, and anticipates guest needs
- Maintains a clean and organized workspace
- Explains and demonstrates usage of tabletop electronic devices to guests
- Drives sales with suggestive selling techniques
- Accommodates any special guest needs such as booster chairs or high chairs
- Manages the waitlist when the restaurant is busy
- Occasionally serves guests in Carside To-Go or server roles
- Fills out feature sheets
- Assists in general front of house maintenance including maintaining restrooms, light cleaning, wiping windows, sanitizing, setting up the expo line, emptying trash, rolling silverware, and maintaining restaurant curb appeal
