Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in hosting or guest-facing roles preferred
- Ability to work flexible full-time or part-time schedules including evenings and weekends
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- Basic proficiency with digital reservation systems preferred
Job Qualifications
- Prior hosting or guest service experience in a high-volume or upscale restaurant preferred
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional demeanor, grooming, and presentation
- Calm and composed under pressure with strong multitasking abilities
- Passion for hospitality and making guests feel valued and cared for
- Strong problem-solving and guest recovery instincts
- Familiarity with reservation platforms (e.g., OpenTable, Resy) is a plus
Job Duties
- Greet all guests promptly and warmly upon arrival with genuine hospitality
- Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating flow using a digital reservation system
- Escort guests to their tables with grace and provide menus and brief introductions as needed
- Answer phone calls professionally and respond to guest inquiries or reservation changes
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to maintain smooth dining room operations
- Monitor dining room capacity and provide accurate wait time estimates
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, entrance area, and restrooms
