Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in hosting or guest-facing roles preferred
  • Ability to work flexible full-time or part-time schedules including evenings and weekends
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods
  • Basic proficiency with digital reservation systems preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Prior hosting or guest service experience in a high-volume or upscale restaurant preferred
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Professional demeanor, grooming, and presentation
  • Calm and composed under pressure with strong multitasking abilities
  • Passion for hospitality and making guests feel valued and cared for
  • Strong problem-solving and guest recovery instincts
  • Familiarity with reservation platforms (e.g., OpenTable, Resy) is a plus

Job Duties

  • Greet all guests promptly and warmly upon arrival with genuine hospitality
  • Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating flow using a digital reservation system
  • Escort guests to their tables with grace and provide menus and brief introductions as needed
  • Answer phone calls professionally and respond to guest inquiries or reservation changes
  • Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to maintain smooth dining room operations
  • Monitor dining room capacity and provide accurate wait time estimates
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, entrance area, and restrooms
