Job Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of restaurant seating and service etiquette

Job Duties

  • Greet guests and determine the number in their party
  • Appropriately estimate guest wait time and relay information to guests in a professional manner
  • Seat guests by finding clean, available tables, pulling out chairs, and placing menus
  • Guide guests through dining rooms and provide needed assistance
  • Move and arrange tables, chairs, and settings for special groups
  • Ensure place settings are appropriate and guests have necessary items
  • Check menus for cleanliness, currency, and availability
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day
  • Monitor dining room for seating availability, guest service, safety, and wellbeing
  • Resolve and respond to any guest issues
  • Assist servers as needed
