Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- excellent communication skills
- ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- physical ability to set up dining areas and carry trays
- ability to handle resident personal information confidentially
- willingness to follow community policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
- ability to communicate effectively with seniors and families
- teamwork skills to collaborate with Care Partners and other staff
- familiarity with dining etiquette and restaurant-style table setting
- ability to manage multiple tasks during shifts
- basic knowledge of cleaning and sanitation standards
- willingness to learn community policies and procedures
Job Duties
- Ensure adequate daily coverage provided by the Health Services staff and other assigned staff for meal service by communicating with relevant directors
- assist Culinary Services Director with training Health Services staff on performance and policy
- attend required staff meetings
- direct resident, family, and guest feedback to community leadership
- ensure all server pre-service and post-service work is completed by delegating to Health Service staff
- assign sections and tables to staff to ensure timely service
- oversee cleaning and preparation of dining rooms and tables in restaurant style
- reset tables and linens and replenish condiments
- ensure drink stations and salad bars are set according to policy
- take meal orders and ensure staff use excellent customer service skills
- ensure drinks are filled as requested and kept filled
- serve and oversee meal service to meet resident and guest choices
- manage guest reservations and ensure Private Dining Room readiness
- complete cleaning checklists as per policy
- set up and deliver room trays as needed
- maintain confidentiality of resident personal information
- maintain professional appearance and positive demeanor
- promote a positive customer service environment
- perform other duties as assigned
