Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude under pressure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to stand and walk for entire shifts
- Capability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- Willingness to assist team members and handle multiple tasks efficiently
Job Qualifications
- Dressed in accordance with dress code looking neat, clean and professional at all times
- Able to read menu items
- Able to stand and walk during entire shift
- Able to reach, bend, stoop and wipe frequently
- Able to articulate clear greetings, requests for assistance, and farewells to guests
- Able to clearly verbalize guest needs to other team members
- Able to calmly respond to angry guests and call manager’s attention
- May be required to carry supplies weighing 10-30 lbs in busy situations
Job Duties
- Maintain a cheerful, courteous disposition and a neat, clean and professional image
- Come to work promptly and regularly and be flexible in hours of employment
- Open the door for each guest when possible
- Smile and greet guests upon entering
- Effectively and efficiently manage the wait list and call ahead list
- Escort guests as soon as possible to appropriate tables
- Run food to tables
- Notify manager of any guest that is perceived to be unhappy
- Bid farewell to guests leaving ensuring satisfaction and invite guests to return
- Review cleanliness and organization of the Host station ensuring menus are stocked and maintained
- Keep foyer, host area, wait area and cocktail tables clean and free of clutter
- Spot clean glass windows and doors
- Inspect restrooms every fifteen minutes and maintain cleanliness standards
- Perform shift change and/or opening or closing duties
- Answer telephone within 3 rings and transfer or answer questions accordingly
- Keep immediate supervisor informed of all problems or unusual matters and take or suggest corrective action
- Perform all duties in a timely and effective manner in accordance with company policies
- Display a favorable image of Chili’s Grill & Bar at all times
- Maintain favorable working relationships with other team members to promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate
