Job Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent talking hearing and use of hands and arms
- Occasional climbing or balancing
- Ability to lift or move up to 25 lbs
- Must be able to adjust focus and have close and distance vision
Job Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred but willing to train
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team members
- Able to read and interpret safety rules policies and procedures
- Comfortable writing basic reports messages and speaking confidently with customers or colleagues
- Must be reliable punctual and able to work flexible morning shifts including weekends
Job Duties
- Responsible for hanging the specials board for outside display
- Responsible for greeting and escorting guests to their table providing menus assisting guests with chairs water and coffee in the morning
- Checking and hanging guests' coats if necessary
- Answer the telephone and assist with dining room reservations
- Help servers with bus/set tables
- Keep the host station clean including checking and replacing soiled menus
- Assist servers in changing over tables for the next meal period
- Maintain your post at the podium at all times
