Job Requirements
- 16 plus years old
- reliable transportation
- ability to wipe down tables, table legs, and booth seats
- ability to transport plates, glasses, and baskets more than 30 times per shift
- ability to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for up to 4 hours
- good sense of balance and ability to reach, bend, stoop, kneel
- frequently lift and bus pans and trays weighing up to 25 pounds
- ability to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and coworkers
- ability to transport and carry objects such as high chairs up to 15 pounds multiple times per shift

Job Duties
- Greets and seats all guests in a friendly manner
- assists in maintaining the overall guest flow of the restaurant
- ensures seating service is rotated among server area assignments
- opens doors for arriving and departing guests
- remains visible in the front of house and faces the main entrance
- occasionally delivers food and drinks to guests when extra assistance is needed
- interacts verbally with all guests to create a friendly and upbeat atmosphere
- completes assigned opening and closing side work as scheduled
- participates in clearing and resetting dining room tables using Applebee's team delivery system
- observes guests, responds to requests, and anticipates guest needs
- maintains a clean and organized work area
- explains and demonstrates usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices to guests
- drives sales through suggestive selling techniques
- accommodates special needs of guests such as booster chairs and high chairs
- manages the waitlist during busy periods
- occasionally serves guests in Carside To-Go or Server To-Go roles
- fills out feature sheets as required
- assists in general front of house maintenance including restroom upkeep, light cleaning, washing windows, sani-bucket rotation, setting up the expo line, emptying trash, rolling silverware, and maintaining restaurant curb appeal
