Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a host/hostess preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting over 25 pounds, reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping, standing, and walking for long shifts
- Ability to operate POS system
- Willingness to work in a variable restaurant environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, fumes, and hazards
- Regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Previous host/hostess experience preferred
- Ability to wipe down table tops, table legs, pick up debris, and clean booth seats
- Reading, writing, and superior communication skills required
- Confident and friendly guest communication skills
Job Duties
- Greets, engages, and seats guests in a timely and controlled manner
- Accommodates special needs such as boosters, highchairs, disabilities, and large parties
- Opens doors for arriving and departing guests
- Explains menu features and limited-time offerings
- Manages the wait list quoting accurate times
- Assists servers as needed
- Maintains clean and organized work and entry areas, including windows and floors
- Checks restrooms every 30 minutes
- Uses the POS system to clock in/out, process orders, and complete end-of-shift procedures
