Job Requirements

Job Duties
- Greets and seats all guests in a friendly manner
- Assists in maintaining the overall guest flow of the restaurant
- Ensures seating service is rotated among server area assignments whenever possible
- Opens doors for arriving and departing guests
- Remains visible in the front of house and faces the main entrance
- Occasionally delivers food and drinks to guests when extra assistance is needed
- Interacts verbally with all guests creating a friendly and upbeat environment
- Completes assigned opening and closing side work as scheduled
- Participates in the clearing and resetting of the dining room tables using Applebee’s team delivery method
- Observes guests, responds to requests, and anticipates guests’ needs
- Maintains a clean and organized work area
- Explains and demonstrates usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices to guests
- Drives sales with suggestive selling techniques
- Accommodates any special needs of guests such as booster chairs, high chairs, or wheelchairs
- Manages the waitlist when the restaurant is busy
- May occasionally be scheduled to serve guests in a Carside To-Go or Server position
- Fills out feature sheets and communicates specials
- Assists in general front of house maintenance functions including maintaining restrooms, light cleaning such as dusting light fixtures, furniture, woodwork, artifacts, washing or wiping windows, sani-bucket rotation, setting up the expo line, emptying trash, rolling silverware, and maintaining restaurant curb appeal
