Job Requirements
- Minimum age of 16 years
- Reliable transportation required
- Ability to stand and exhibit fast-paced mobility for up to four hours
- Physical ability to balance, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, and frequently lift trays or pans weighing up to 25 pounds
- Ability to wipe down tables, seats, and pick up debris
- Ability to speak clearly and listen attentively
- Ability to transport and carry objects such as high chairs up to 15 pounds
- Ability to follow instructions and work within a team environment
- Ability to maintain professional demeanor under fast-paced and noisy conditions

Job Duties
- Greets and seats all guests in a friendly manner
- Assists in maintaining the overall guest flow of the restaurant
- Ensures seating service is rotated among server area assignments whenever possible
- Opens doors for arriving and departing guests
- Remains visible in the front-of-house area and faces the main entrance
- Occasionally delivers food and drinks to guests when extra assistance is needed
- Interacts verbally with all guests to create a friendly and upbeat environment
- Completes assigned opening and closing side work as scheduled
- Participates in clearing and resetting dining room tables using Applebee's team delivery model
- Observes guests, responds to requests, and anticipates guests' needs
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment
- Explains and demonstrates usage of tabletop electronic devices to guests
- Drives sales through suggestive selling techniques
- Accommodates special needs of guests such as booster chairs, high chairs, or wheelchairs
- Manages the waitlist during busy periods
- May occasionally serve guests in Carside To-Go or Server roles
- Fills out feature and sales reports accurately
- Assists in general front-of-house maintenance including maintaining restrooms, light cleaning tasks such as dusting and wiping surfaces, washing windows, sanitizing, setting up the expo line, emptying trash, rolling silverware, and managing restaurant curb appeal
