Job Requirements

  • Ability to move throughout the dining room effectively
  • Ability to lift and carry trays weighing up to 15lbs and bus tubs up to 40lbs
  • Ability to perform reaching and stooping motions
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Effective communication skills
  • Basic computer skills for reservation management

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Host/Hostess or in customer service preferred but not required
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude and welcoming demeanor
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Job Duties

  • Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude upon their arrival
  • Maintain an organized reservation system including taking reservations over the phone or online
  • Manage seating efficiently balancing guest preferences and table availability
  • Manage waitlists during peak hours providing estimated wait times and accommodation options
  • Provide guests with information about menus, specials, promotions, and events
  • Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff regarding table availability and special requests
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of host stand, waiting area, menus, and promotional materials
  • Bid guests a warm farewell and express appreciation, collect feedback and address immediate concerns
