Job Requirements
- 16 years or older
- reliable transportation required
- ability to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for up to four hours
- ability to wipe down tables, booth seats, and floors
- ability to transport plates, glasses, and baskets to and from service areas frequently
- ability to reach, bend, stoop, kneel and lift items up to 25 pounds frequently
- ability to speak clearly and listen attentively
- ability to carry objects such as high chairs up to 15 pounds multiple times per shift
- ability to follow instructions and maintain professional conduct

Job Duties
- Greets and seats all guests in a friendly manner
- assists in maintaining the overall guest flow of the restaurant
- ensures seating service is rotated among server area assignments whenever possible
- opens doors for arriving and departing guests
- remains visible in the front of house and faces the main entrance
- occasionally delivers food and drinks to guests when extra assistance is needed
- interacts verbally with all guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere
- completes assigned opening and closing side work as scheduled
- participates in the clearing and resetting of dining room tables using Applebee's team delivery system
- observes guests, responds to requests, and anticipates guest needs
- maintains a clean and organized work area
- explains and demonstrates usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices to guests
- drives sales with suggestive selling
- accommodates special needs such as booster chairs and high chairs
- manages the waitlist when the restaurant is busy
- occasionally serves guests in Carside To-Go or Server roles
- fills out feature sheets
- assists in general front of house maintenance including restroom upkeep, light cleaning, wiping windows, sani-bucket rotation, setting up the expo line, emptying trash, rolling silverware, and maintaining curb appeal of the restaurant
