Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6 months to 1 year experience in hospitality or customer service
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English clearly and proficiently
  • Basic computer skills including data entry
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to walk for significant periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally with assistance and 10 to 15 pounds frequently
  • Flexible to work between 5:00 A.M. and 8:30 P.M. including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • 6 months to 1 year experience in hospitality or customer service
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English clearly
  • Basic computer skills including data entry
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Math skills including conversions of oz, cc, and ml

Job Duties

  • Ensures physician's diet orders are met by maintaining patient card files and following diet compliance standards
  • Processes diet orders utilizing CBORD and Care Connection
  • Assists patients with room service and communicates effectively with patients, families, nursing, and kitchen staff
  • Distributes patient meals and nourishments, verifying diet and meal accuracy
  • Retrieves soiled meal trays and transports them appropriately
  • Delivers and stores bulk nourishments in unit kitchens
  • Upholds Advocate Lutheran General Hospital's service commitment and maintains professional image
