Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a high-volume or upscale casual dining setting
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills
  • Ability to remain professional and calm under pressure
  • Proficiency with reservation software such as OpenTable or Resy
  • Passion for hospitality and guest service
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds

Job Duties

  • Deliver a genuine warm Southern welcome to all guests upon arrival and a sincere thank you upon departure
  • Strategically manage reservations walk-ins and waitlists using the digital reservation system to ensure a smooth balanced service flow for the kitchen and service staff
  • Accurately manage seating for various environments including standard tables the patio and the open-air bar area paying close attention to guest preferences
  • Maintain constant clear communication with managers and servers regarding table status anticipated waits and large party arrivals
  • Ensure the entrance waiting area and host stand are clean organized and reflect the restaurant's welcoming aesthetic
  • Complete all opening running and closing side work to meticulous standards including setting up and breaking down stations and actively supporting teammates
