Job Requirements

  • minimum of one year experience in a reception or hostess role in hospitality
  • proficiency in English both spoken and written
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours
  • availability to attend training and development courses
  • ability to use booking and communication systems
  • adherence to health and safety guidelines
  • commitment to maintaining personal hygiene and presentation
  • physically able to stand and walk for prolonged periods
  • capable of lifting/moving up to 15 lbs

Job Qualifications

  • at least one year reception/host experience in hospitality
  • excellent command of the English language both written and spoken
  • ability to communicate with customers and peers positively and friendly
  • self-motivated and career-focused
  • computer literate
  • extremely flexible and committed
  • lively, enthusiastic, and confident
  • able to handle difficult situations successfully
  • good organizational skills

Job Duties

  • be the first/last point of contact when guests are arriving/leaving the venue
  • ensure the highest professionalism and service
  • use company booking systems to manage reservations
  • contact guests via telephone, email, and booking platform courteously
  • ensure great communication between departments, especially reception
  • adhere to company standards of service quality, preparation, and presentation
  • ensure guests are served in a timely manner
  • prioritize and manage last-minute changes to reservations
  • comply with health, sanitation, and food safety rules
  • report and reduce potential hazards immediately
  • work safely to avoid harm to self and others
  • anticipate and prevent hazards
  • maintain high standards of personal hygiene, dress, appearance, and conduct
  • set up for service according to forecasted covers and special functions
  • carry out additional duties as directed by seniors
  • study and adhere to NZR Group guidelines, employee handbook, and food guides
  • uphold NZR Group service standards in the restaurant
