Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in a hospitality or food service role preferred
  • Ability to stand, bend, and twist for extended periods
  • Strong interpersonal skills for guest interaction
  • Basic math skills for handling cash
  • Ability to follow instructions and comprehend short correspondence
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Cash handling experience preferred
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Ability to read and interpret restaurant seating charts
  • Friendly and outgoing manner with guests and coworkers
  • Ability to communicate comfortably in English

Job Duties

  • Greet guests and seat them at appropriate tables before introducing them to servers
  • Record customer reservations or seating times accurately
  • Maintain and update restaurant seating charts
  • Set up and maintain dining room areas before serving
  • Assist with maintaining stock of rolled silverware
  • Advise guests on menus and beverage choices with in-depth knowledge
  • Oversee delivery and servicing of food and beverages
  • Liaise between kitchen and floor staff to meet company standards
  • Perform cashier and bus person tasks as needed including cashing out guests
  • Follow cash handling policies and maintain cash security
  • Patrol assigned stations to refill water and coffee and clean service areas
  • Roll silverware, expedite food orders, wash dishes, and prepare food for to-go areas during downtime
  • Clean and fill table condiments
