Job Duties
- Greets and seats all guests in a friendly manner
- assists in maintaining the overall guest flow of the restaurant
- ensures seating service is rotated among server area assignments whenever possible
- opens doors for arriving and departing guests
- remains visible in the front of house and faces the main entrance
- occasionally delivers food and drinks to guests when extra assistance is needed
- interacts verbally with all guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere
- completes assigned opening and closing side work as scheduled
- participates in clearing and resetting dining room tables using Applebee's team delivery system
- observes guests, responds to requests and anticipates guests' needs
- maintains a clean and organized work environment
- explains and demonstrates usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices to guests
- drives sales through suggestive selling
- accommodates special needs of guests such as booster chairs and high chairs
- manages the waitlist when the restaurant is full
- occasionally serves guests in Carside To-Go or Server support roles
- fills out feature request forms
- assists in general front of house maintenance functions including maintaining restrooms, light cleaning such as dusting light fixtures, furniture, woodwork, and artifacts, washing and wiping windows, rotating sani-buckets, setting up the expo line, emptying trash, rolling silverware, and maintaining restaurant curb appeal
