Job Requirements
- 16+ years old
- Reliable transportation required
- Ability to wipe down table tops, pick up debris, and wipe booth seats
- Ability to stand and be mobile for up to four hours
- Good sense of balance and ability to reach, bend, stoop, kneel
- Frequently lift and bus pans and trays weighing up to 25 pounds
- Ability to speak clearly and listen attentively
- Ability to transport objects such as high chairs weighing up to 15 pounds
- Ability to work in noisy, fast-paced, and wet floor conditions

- Reading, writing, and verbal communication skills required

Job Duties
- Greets and seats all guests in a friendly manner
- Assists in maintaining the overall guest flow of the restaurant
- Ensures seating service is rotated among server area assignments whenever possible
- Opens doors for arriving and departing guests
- Remains visible in the front of house and faces the main entrance
- Occasionally delivers food and drinks to guests when extra assistance is needed
- Interacts verbally with all guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere
- Completes assigned opening and closing side work as scheduled
- Participates in the clearing and resetting of the dining room tables using Applebee’s team delivery methods
- Observes guests, responds to requests, and anticipates guests’ needs
- Maintains a clean and organized work area
- Explains and demonstrates usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices to guests
- Drives sales with suggestive selling techniques
- Accommodates any special needs of guests such as booster chairs or high chairs
- Manages the waitlist when the restaurant is busy
- Occasionally scheduled to serve guests in a Carside To-Go or Server role
- Assists in general Front of House maintenance functions including maintaining restrooms, light cleaning tasks such as dusting light fixtures, wiping windows, sani-bucket rotation, setting up the expo line, emptying trash, rolling silverware, and maintaining restaurant curb appeal
