Job Requirements

  • 16 plus years old
  • prior work experience preferred
  • reliable transportation required
  • ability to wipe down table tops table legs pick up debris off of the floor and wipe down booth seats
  • ability to transport plates glasses and baskets to and from service bar and kitchen repeatedly
  • mobility required during entire shift
  • ability to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for up to four hours
  • good sense of balance and ability to reach bend stoop kneel frequently lift busing pans and trays frequently weighing 25 pounds
  • ability to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and coworkers
  • ability to transport and carry objects such as high chairs up to 15 pounds
  • ability to communicate effectively in person and via technology

Job Duties

  • Greets and seats all guests in a friendly manner
  • assists in maintaining the overall guest flow of the restaurant
  • ensures seating service is rotated among server area assignments
  • opens doors for arriving and departing guests
  • remains visible in the front of house and faces the main entrance
  • occasionally delivers food and drinks to guests when extra assistance is needed
  • interacts verbally with all guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere
  • completes assigned opening and closing side work
  • participates in the clearing and resetting of dining tables using team delivery
  • observes guests, responds to requests, and anticipates guests' needs
  • maintains a clean and organized work station
  • explains and demonstrates usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices to guests
  • drives sales with suggestive selling
  • accommodates special needs such as booster chairs and high chairs
  • manages the waitlist during busy periods
  • may be scheduled to serve guests in Carside To-Go or Server To-Go roles
  • fills out feature adjustment forms
  • assists in front of house maintenance including restroom cleaning, dusting, window washing, sanci-bucket rotation, expo line setup, trash emptying, silverware rolling, and maintaining restaurant curb appeal
  • operates phone, soda fountain, cleaning tools and Tabletop Electronic Devices
