Job Requirements
- 16 plus years old
- Friendly and engaging demeanor
- Prior work experience preferred

Job Duties
- Greets and seats all guests in a friendly manner
- Assists in maintaining the overall guest flow of the restaurant
- Ensures seating service is rotated among server area assignments
- Opens doors for arriving and departing guests
- Remains visible in the front of house and facing the main entrance
- Occasionally delivers food and drinks to guests when extra assistance is needed
- Interacts verbally with all guests creating a friendly and upbeat environment
- Completes assigned opening and closing side work
- Participates in the clearing and resetting of the dining room tables using Applebee’s team delivery system
- Observes guests, responds to requests, and anticipates guest needs
- Maintains a clean and organized work area
- Explains and demonstrates usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices to guests
- Drives sales with suggestive selling techniques
- Accommodates any special needs of guests such as booster chairs, high chairs, and other accommodations
- Manages the waitlist when the restaurant is busy
- May be scheduled occasionally to serve guests in a Carside To-Go or Server role
- Fills out feature-related paperwork
- Assists in general Front of House maintenance duties including restrooms upkeep, light cleaning, washing and wiping windows, sani-bucket rotation, setting up the expo line, emptying trash, rolling silverware, and maintaining restaurant curb appeal
