Job Requirements
- Must have and maintain an active Handlers' Card (ServSafe)
- Adhere to local food handler requirements
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to move throughout the café and kitchen
- Good or correctable vision
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift objects up to 40 pounds
- Ability to push and pull loaded and unloaded carts
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation in the workplace
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- 1+ year experience in a food service operation or customer service role
- Excellent culinary skills
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks consistently
- Professional appearance
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to lead a team
Job Duties
- Accommodates special needs of the guests
- Inspects dining room service stations for neatness and cleanliness
- Restocks food and condiment stations while avoiding contamination
- Prepares beverages and expedites food orders
- Monitors the number of guests entering and exiting the café
- Stocks and re-stocks utensils, plates, and glasses in the service area
- Uses carts to transport utensils, glassware, plates, and food
- Acts as a host/hostess for guests, takes orders, and sets or re-sets tables with place settings
- Follows safety and sanitation procedures with all guidelines from OSHA, Department of Public Health and Risk Management
- Performs other duties as assigned
