  • previous experience as waiter or maitre'd in fine dining or casino environment
  • ability to communicate clearly
  • ability to perform basic mathematic calculations
  • ability to follow instructions
  • ability to solve complex problems
  • legal work authorization

Job Qualifications

  • Sanitation certified
  • TiPS training
  • previous experience as waiter or maitre'd in a fine dining steakhouse or restaurant of more than 6 months, preferably in a casino environment
  • ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • ability to calculate figures, amounts, discounts, and percentages
  • ability to follow written or oral instructions
  • ability to handle problems with multiple variables
  • ability to obtain appropriate work authorization per local, state, federal, and gaming regulations

Job Duties

  • Creates a positive guest experience
  • answers any questions, takes responsibility to get answers, and anticipates guests' needs and problems
  • takes reservations or seats guests according to outlet standards
  • organizes reservation book as directed by outlet manager
  • recommends dining special selections and wine
  • accommodates guests with last minute requests
  • conducts other duties as assigned by manager
  • completes daily station chart and checks control sheets
  • assures menus are presentable and in repair
  • follows money handling procedures
  • conducts shift change with few to no mistakes
  • contacts manager concerning POS system malfunctions
