Job Requirements

  • Prior experience in customer service or hospitality preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet guests promptly and warmly as they enter the restaurant
  • Manage guest flow by accurately estimating wait times and managing the seating chart
  • Escort guests to their tables, provide menus, and introduce the server if needed
  • Handle reservations using the reservation system
  • Answer phone calls, take to-go orders if applicable, and assist with general inquiries
  • Communicate wait times and table status updates to guests clearly and politely
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and appearance of the host stand and entrance area
  • Coordinate with servers, bussers, and management to ensure smooth table turnover and guest satisfaction
  • Monitor and manage the overall flow of the dining room to optimize seating and service
  • Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally and refer to a manager when necessary
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and service standards of the restaurant or hotel brand.
