Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Greet guests promptly and warmly as they enter the restaurant
  • manage guest flow by accurately estimating wait times and managing the seating chart
  • escort guests to their tables, provide menus, and introduce the server if needed
  • handle reservations using the reservation system
  • answer phone calls, take to-go orders if applicable, and assist with general inquiries
  • communicate wait times and table status updates to guests clearly and politely
  • assist in maintaining cleanliness and appearance of the host stand and entrance area
  • coordinate with servers, bussers, and management to ensure smooth table turnover and guest satisfaction
  • monitor and manage the overall flow of the dining room to optimize seating and service
  • handle guest complaints or concerns professionally and refer to a manager when necessary
  • follow all safety, sanitation, and service standards of the restaurant or hotel brand
