Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0-2 years of related experience
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods without rest
- Ability to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to use close, distance, color, peripheral vision and adjust focus
- Ability to access all areas of the restaurant including selling floor, stock area, and register area
- Dependability and exceptional teamwork skills
- Must be able to handle cash and credit transactions accurately
Job Qualifications
- Excellent guest service skills and experience
- Ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise
- Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to prioritize and possess good organizational skills
- Must accurately handle money, make change, and process credit card transactions
- Strong menu knowledge
- Computer skills including POS system experience
- 0-2 years related experience
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
- Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Job Duties
- Greet guests in a friendly, warm, and welcoming manner and escort them to tables
- Monitor guests' needs and the flow of the restaurant and seat guests accordingly
- Deliver the appropriate number of menus and kid packs when seating guests
- Perform restroom checks, answer phones, keep lobby, bakery, and retail areas clean and stocked
- Practice safe food and beverage handling
- Communicate and interact with guests, handle crowds, and put guests at ease while they wait
- Show guests care and ask about their dining experience
- Effectively handle guest complaints and involve manager when appropriate
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately, including cash, credit cards, and gift cards
- Assist in marketing, promotional services and situational selling by communicating new promotions and products
- Clear, sanitize, and set tables as needed
- Manage guests wait times by working with managers to quote accurate wait times
- Assist in other job categories as needed
- Perform all other duties as assigned
