Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 0-2 years related experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment
  • Ability to stand for entire shift and walk for long periods without rest
  • Ability to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach
  • Verbal communication skills
  • Visual acuity including close, distance, color, peripheral vision and depth perception
  • Ability to access all restaurant areas including selling floor, stock area, and register area
  • Ability to handle cash and perform transactions accurately
  • Dependability and teamwork skills
  • Compliance with current safety, sanitation, and health guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent guest service skills and experience
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues promptly
  • Detail oriented with ability to multitask
  • Ability to prioritize and good organizational skills
  • Must accurately handle money, make change, and process credit card transactions
  • Strong menu knowledge
  • Computer skills including POS system
  • 0-2 years related experience
  • Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
  • Ability to plan and accomplish goals based on experience and judgment

Job Duties

  • Greet guest in a friendly, warm, and welcoming manner and escort guests to tables
  • Monitor guests' needs and the flow of the restaurant and seat guests accordingly
  • Deliver appropriate number of menus and kid packs when seating guests
  • Perform restroom checks, answer phone, keep lobby, bakery and retail areas clean and stocked
  • Practice safe food and beverage handling
  • Communicate and interact with guests, handle crowds and put guests at ease
  • Show guests you care and inquire about their dining experience
  • Effectively handle guest complaints and involve manager as needed
  • Handle cash and credit transactions accurately including cash, credit cards, and gift cards
  • Assist in marketing, promotional services and communicate new promotions to guests
  • Clear, sanitize, and set tables as needed
  • Manage guests wait times with managers
  • Assist in other job categories as needed
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
