Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0-2 years related experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment
- Ability to stand for entire shift and walk for long periods without rest
- Ability to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
- Ability to bend, stoop, and reach
- Verbal communication skills
- Visual acuity including close, distance, color, peripheral vision and depth perception
- Ability to access all restaurant areas including selling floor, stock area, and register area
- Ability to handle cash and perform transactions accurately
- Dependability and teamwork skills
- Compliance with current safety, sanitation, and health guidelines
Job Qualifications
- Excellent guest service skills and experience
- Ability to identify and resolve issues promptly
- Detail oriented with ability to multitask
- Ability to prioritize and good organizational skills
- Must accurately handle money, make change, and process credit card transactions
- Strong menu knowledge
- Computer skills including POS system
- 0-2 years related experience
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
- Ability to plan and accomplish goals based on experience and judgment
Job Duties
- Greet guest in a friendly, warm, and welcoming manner and escort guests to tables
- Monitor guests' needs and the flow of the restaurant and seat guests accordingly
- Deliver appropriate number of menus and kid packs when seating guests
- Perform restroom checks, answer phone, keep lobby, bakery and retail areas clean and stocked
- Practice safe food and beverage handling
- Communicate and interact with guests, handle crowds and put guests at ease
- Show guests you care and inquire about their dining experience
- Effectively handle guest complaints and involve manager as needed
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately including cash, credit cards, and gift cards
- Assist in marketing, promotional services and communicate new promotions to guests
- Clear, sanitize, and set tables as needed
- Manage guests wait times with managers
- Assist in other job categories as needed
- Perform all other duties as assigned
