Job Duties
- Greet guest in a friendly, warm, and welcoming manner and escort guests to tables
- monitors guests' needs and the flow of the restaurant and seats guests accordingly
- delivers the appropriate number of menus, kid packs if needed when seating guests
- performs restroom checks, answers phone, keeps lobby, bakery and retail areas clean of debris, and keeps the general work area stocked and cleaned
- practices safe food and beverage handling
- communicates and interacts with guests, can handle crowds, and puts guests at ease while they wait for their table or carryout order
- shows guests care and asks them about their dining experience
- effectively handles guest complaints and involves manager at appropriate time
- handles cash and credit transactions
- accurately accounts for all receivables including cash, credit cards, and gift cards
- assists in marketing, promotional services and situational selling
- clears, sanitizes, and sets tables as needed
- manages guests wait times by working with managers to quote accurate wait times
- may be asked to assist in other job categories as well
- performs all other duties as assigned
