- relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Job Duties
- Greet guests in a friendly, warm, and welcoming manner and escort guests to tables
- monitor guests' needs and the flow of the restaurant and seat guests accordingly
- deliver the appropriate number of menus and kid packs when seating guests
- perform restroom checks, answer phone, keep lobby, bakery and retail areas clean, and keep the general work area stocked and cleaned
- practice safe food and beverage handling
- communicate and interact with guests, handle crowds, and put guests at ease while they wait
- ask guests about their dining experience
- effectively handle guest complaints and involve manager as needed
- handle cash and credit transactions accurately including cash, credit cards, and gift cards
- assist in marketing and promotional services by communicating new promotions and products
- clear, sanitize, and set tables as needed
- manage guests wait times by working with managers
- assist in other job categories as needed
- perform all other duties as assigned
