Job Requirements
- 0-2 years related experience
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
- Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily while possessing dependability and exceptional teamwork skills
- Ability to stand for entire shift and walk for long periods without rest
- Ability to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
- Ability to reach with hands and handle objects or controls
- Ability to bend and stoop
- Ability to verbally communicate with others
- Ability to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjust focus
- Ability to freely access all areas of restaurant including selling floor(s), stock area, and register area
Job Qualifications
- Excellent guest service skills and experience
- Ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise
- Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to prioritize and good organizational skills
- Ability to accurately handle money, make change, process credit card transactions and strong menu knowledge
- Computer skills including POS system experience
Job Duties
- Greet guest in a friendly, warm, and welcoming manner and escort guests to tables
- Monitor guests' needs and the flow of the restaurant and seat guests accordingly
- Deliver the appropriate number of menus and kid packs when seating guests
- Perform restroom checks, answer phone, keep lobby, bakery and retail areas clean, and keep general work area stocked and cleaned
- Practice safe food and beverage handling
- Communicate and interact with guests, handle crowds, and put guests at ease while they wait
- Show guests you care and ask about their dining experience
- Effectively handle guest complaints and involve manager at appropriate time
- Handle cash and credit transactions, accurately accounting for all receivables including cash, credit cards, and gift cards
- Assist in marketing, promotional services and situational selling
- Clear, sanitize, and set tables as needed
- Manage guests wait times by working with managers to quote accurate wait times
- May be asked to assist in other job categories as well
- Perform all other assigned duties
