Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or high school equivalency preferred
  • good attendance and punctuality
  • ability to stand or walk for hours at a time
  • ability to hear, speak, and communicate effectively
  • physically able to perform tasks including walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • ability to work in a variable temperature environment
  • ability to tolerate frequent immersion of hands in water and sanitizing solutions
  • must wear slip-resistant shoes
  • compliance with dress and appearance policies
  • willingness to adhere to sanitation and safety guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or high school equivalency preferred
  • experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
  • ability to use guest management software is a plus
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work well in a team environment
  • basic knowledge of Japanese phrases preferred
  • physical ability to carry and lift up to 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • Provide a friendly welcome and farewell to guests
  • manage guest seating using the Aloha Guest Manager system
  • assist the service team with guest satisfaction
  • maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front door area
  • accurately quote wait times and manage wait and reservation lists
  • set up and understand the floor plan in the AGM system
  • present menus and promotional materials
  • observe table status and assist with table turnover
  • answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries
  • accommodate guest needs such as refilling beverages and providing silverware
  • follow all sanitation and safety guidelines
  • clear dirty dishes and reset tables according to standards
  • clean and sweep around tables as needed
  • remove bus tubs and dirty dishes from behind the bar area
  • participate using Japanese phrases as required
  • wear slip-resistant shoes during shift
