Job Requirements

  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to maintain personal hygiene and appearance according to company standards
  • knowledge of electronic reservation systems preferred
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • physical ability to lift and transport items up to 15 pounds
  • willingness to provide exceptional guest service
  • ability to handle challenging guest interactions professionally

Job Duties

  • greet guests warmly and graciously upon arrival
  • provide guidance about dining options and general local information
  • utilize electronic table management system to monitor dining room and guest flow
  • explain the restaurant concept to guests
  • record guest names and party sizes when immediate seating is unavailable
  • maintain knowledge of floor plan and server station assignments
  • provide estimated wait times to guests
  • maintain professional and courteous attitude with all guests
  • accommodate special seating requests when possible
  • seat guests based on preferences and service station flow
  • offer menus and inform guests of server names
  • inspect tables for proper presentation
  • relay messages to servers and bus-persons
  • communicate guest feedback to management
  • maintain supplies and cleanliness at the host station
  • perform general cleaning and sanitizing tasks
  • attend mandatory meetings
  • thank guests as they leave and invite them to return
  • perform other duties as assigned by leadership
