The St. Paul Grill, located in Downtown St. Paul, is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Host to join their exceptional team immediately. As a prominent dining establishment within the renowned Saint Paul Hotel, The St. Paul Grill exemplifies excellence in service and gastronomy, creating a memorable dining experience for all guests. Known for its vibrant atmosphere and high-volume, high-energy environment, this role is perfect for individuals passionate about hospitality and guest services. Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1-year related experience in a high-volume, high energy, food and beverage environment
  • Availability to work nights and weekends as needed
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to walk, squat, reach, use hands, talk, hear, see and occasionally lift and move up to 30 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-year related experience in a high-volume, high energy, food and beverage environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • Familiarity with reservation systems and guest management software preferred
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service
  • Knowledge of guest recognition techniques

Job Duties

  • Professionally answer all incoming phone calls and take reservations utilizing appropriate standardized phone etiquette and dialogue
  • Provide positive guest recognition and relations through personal performance and attention to guest history including familiarizing with regular patrons and VIP guests
  • Greet guests in a timely and professional manner and escort guests to tables
  • Perform reservation confirmations
  • Monitor the flow of the restaurant including table turnover, guest arrival, guest departure and pace of the restaurant
