Job Requirements
- Ability to lift carry or move up to 30 lbs
- able to work in hot and cold environments
- ability to walk and stand for extended periods up to 8 hours per shift
- frequent bending reaching kneeling squatting and stooping
- manual dexterity to handle glassware utensils and technology systems
- able to move quickly in a fast-paced environment
- visual ability to include distance close color depth and peripheral with ability to adjust focus as needed
- ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- responsible beverage service certifications required for California positions
- must successfully complete electronic employment eligibility verification
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in a restaurant or customer service role is a plus
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- basic knowledge of food and beverage service
- commitment to high standards of cleanliness and safety
- ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with attention to detail
Job Duties
- Make memorable first and last impressions with a smile
- greet incoming and departing guests in a welcoming manner
- seat guests in dining and bar areas ensuring smooth handoff to service staff
- coordinate wait and seat guests with a sense of urgency
- engage in genuine conversations with guests
- support all restaurant areas as business needs arise demonstrating teamwork
- commit to food safety, cleanliness, job safety and sanitation standards
- buss tables, deliver food and support the dining room ensuring opportunities to wow guests
- have general knowledge of food and drink menu to recommend and upsell products
- answer phones promptly and professionally
- lead the lobby experience following Outback hospitality standards
- assist servers by serving food and beverages, clearing and resetting tables, and maintaining a clean dining environment
