Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift carry or move up to 30 lbs
  • able to work in hot and cold environments
  • ability to walk and stand for extended periods up to 8 hours per shift
  • frequent bending reaching kneeling squatting and stooping
  • manual dexterity to handle glassware utensils and technology systems
  • able to move quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • visual ability to include distance close color depth and peripheral with ability to adjust focus as needed
  • ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • responsible beverage service certifications required for California positions
  • must successfully complete electronic employment eligibility verification

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in a restaurant or customer service role is a plus
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • basic knowledge of food and beverage service
  • commitment to high standards of cleanliness and safety
  • ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Make memorable first and last impressions with a smile
  • greet incoming and departing guests in a welcoming manner
  • seat guests in dining and bar areas ensuring smooth handoff to service staff
  • coordinate wait and seat guests with a sense of urgency
  • engage in genuine conversations with guests
  • support all restaurant areas as business needs arise demonstrating teamwork
  • commit to food safety, cleanliness, job safety and sanitation standards
  • buss tables, deliver food and support the dining room ensuring opportunities to wow guests
  • have general knowledge of food and drink menu to recommend and upsell products
  • answer phones promptly and professionally
  • lead the lobby experience following Outback hospitality standards
  • assist servers by serving food and beverages, clearing and resetting tables, and maintaining a clean dining environment
