Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs
- must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods (7+ hours)
- must understand and communicate effectively in English
- must be available to work varied hours including holidays and weekends
- must comply with company safety policies and procedures
- must maintain a professional appearance and attitude
- must be able to learn and operate computerized reservation, seating, paging and Point-of-Sale systems
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- familiarity with computerized reservation or seating systems is an asset
- strong interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- knowledge of safety standards
- ability to follow company service standards
- physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods
- basic understanding of restaurant operations
Job Duties
- Welcomes each guest with a smile and personalized greeting
- acknowledges each guest as they are leaving with genuine appreciation
- maintains a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance
- maintains a businesslike, professional attitude at all times
- has a working knowledge of the menu, promotions, special events, and other pertinent information
- seats guests in such a manner that they receive the best service possible
- answers telephone inquiries as per company policies
- helps bussers set and clear tables
- contributes to general housekeeping in such areas as the floor in foyer, windows/glass in front, host stand area, maintenance checklist, menus and menu covers
- knowledgeable of the company's internal controls, policies, and procedures
- able to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical activities like push, pull, grasp, reach, stoop, bend, twist, and climb stairs
- able to learn and utilize computerized reservation/seating/paging system and Point-of-Sale system
- must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods (7+ hours)
- must understand and communicate in English
- comply fully with the company's safety policies and procedures
- always follow the Company Service Standards model
- must be available for regularly scheduled work and able to work a variety of hours, holidays, and weekends
- other duties may be assigned at any time
