Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs
  • must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods (7+ hours)
  • must understand and communicate effectively in English
  • must be available to work varied hours including holidays and weekends
  • must comply with company safety policies and procedures
  • must maintain a professional appearance and attitude
  • must be able to learn and operate computerized reservation, seating, paging and Point-of-Sale systems

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
  • ability to communicate effectively in English
  • familiarity with computerized reservation or seating systems is an asset
  • strong interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • knowledge of safety standards
  • ability to follow company service standards
  • physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods
  • basic understanding of restaurant operations

Job Duties

  • Welcomes each guest with a smile and personalized greeting
  • acknowledges each guest as they are leaving with genuine appreciation
  • maintains a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance
  • maintains a businesslike, professional attitude at all times
  • has a working knowledge of the menu, promotions, special events, and other pertinent information
  • seats guests in such a manner that they receive the best service possible
  • answers telephone inquiries as per company policies
  • helps bussers set and clear tables
  • contributes to general housekeeping in such areas as the floor in foyer, windows/glass in front, host stand area, maintenance checklist, menus and menu covers
  • knowledgeable of the company's internal controls, policies, and procedures
  • able to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical activities like push, pull, grasp, reach, stoop, bend, twist, and climb stairs
  • able to learn and utilize computerized reservation/seating/paging system and Point-of-Sale system
  • must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods (7+ hours)
  • must understand and communicate in English
  • comply fully with the company's safety policies and procedures
  • always follow the Company Service Standards model
  • must be available for regularly scheduled work and able to work a variety of hours, holidays, and weekends
  • other duties may be assigned at any time
