Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a host or hostess, guest services, or front-of-house role preferred
  • Experience in fine dining, elevated hospitality or spa environments is strongly desired
  • Familiarity with reservation management systems is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards
  • Understanding of dining room etiquette and refined guest service strongly preferred
  • Outgoing, charismatic personality with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a polished, professional appearance aligned with Forbes and Mirbeau refined standards
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
  • Ability to remain composed and gracious under pressure
  • Demonstrated commitment to exceptional guest service and hospitality standards
  • Willingness to collaborate with both front-of-house and back-of-house teams as well as other departments
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed

Job Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and professionally using Forbes and Mirbeau approved language standards
  • Escort guests to their tables, present menus, and provide a brief overview of the restaurant
  • Offer basic menu knowledge and make recommendations when requested
  • Ensure guests receive prompt, courteous service at all times
  • Respond to guest complaints or concerns promptly and graciously, or escalate to management when necessary
  • Thank guests upon departure and extend a sincere farewell
  • Answer all dining room telephone calls and respond to reservation inquiries
  • Manage reservations via phone, in-person, and reservation systems
  • Coordinate table assignments to balance server sections and optimize flow- ensuring no dining section is overlooked or overbooked
  • Receive and process group reservation memos from the Sales Department
  • Ensure tables, silverware, and glassware are clean and properly set prior to service
  • Monitor the dining room for cleanliness, ambiance, and guest needs
  • Refill water and assist with other beverage service as needed
  • Assist servers during peak service periods when appropriate
  • Decorate or set up the dining room for special events as needed
  • Support smooth guest transitions between seatings
  • Collaborate with the spa reception team for coordinated guest experiences
  • Maintain a polished, professional appearance and demeanor at all times
  • Provide accurate information about restaurant and spa services to guests
  • Uphold health, safety, and hygiene standards in all front-of-house areas
  • Promote a calm, serene atmosphere in alignment with the spa restaurant brand
  • Assist with additional as assigned by management
