Job Duties
- Greet members/guests and ensure their dining experience is smooth and memorable
- take phone reservations and requests professionally and courteously
- effectively control the host desk and communicate with guests regarding reservations, wait times, and walk-ins
- reset and clear tables
- ensure smooth operation of the front desk
- pay attention to detail during interactions with members/guests
- show guests to the table or bar
- set up, maintain, and clean the desk
- comply with all health, safety, and fire safety procedures
- maintain a courteous and professional demeanor at all times
- establish and maintain good communication and teamwork with colleagues and other departments
- provide members/guests with menus
- inspect dining and serving areas for cleanliness and proper setup
- speak with patrons to ensure satisfaction and respond to complaints
- maintain contact with kitchen staff, management, serving staff, and customers to ensure proper dining service and address concerns
- inform patrons of establishment specialties and features
- supervise and coordinate dining room staff activities to ensure prompt and courteous service
- assist in planning functions or special events
- participate in departmental and administrative meetings as requested
- promote positive teamwork and cooperation among co-workers
- follow up on complaints, questions, and concerns
- comply with established safe work practices and attend safety training
- perform other duties as assigned
