Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • willingness to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects up to 10 pounds without assistance

Job Duties

  • Greet guests and determine the number in their party
  • seat guests by finding a clean, available table
  • pull out chairs
  • place clean/current menus in front of guests
  • guide guests through dining rooms and provide assistance
  • move and arrange tables, chairs, and settings
  • organize seating for groups with special needs
  • ensure place settings are appropriate with napkins and clean silverware
  • check menus to ensure they are current, clean, plentiful, and wrinkle-free
  • maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day
  • monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and well-being of guests
  • follow all company safety and security policies and procedures
  • report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions
  • complete safety training and certifications
  • maintain professional appearance and confidentiality
  • welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards
  • communicate clearly and professionally
  • answer telephones using appropriate etiquette
  • develop and maintain positive working relationships
  • support team to reach common goals
  • listen and respond to concerns of employees
  • ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
  • perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
