Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • No prior related work experience required but relevant experience in food service environments is valued
  • No supervisor experience required
  • No licenses or certifications required

  • Previous experience in food and beverage settings is a plus but not required

Job Duties

  • Greet guests and determine the number of people in the group
  • Indicate seating to guests by offering them a clean and available table
  • Remove chairs and place clean and updated menus in front of each guest
  • Guide guests through the dining room and assist when needed
  • Move and arrange tables, chairs and cutlery as required, including accommodations for special needs groups
  • Ensure the appropriate cutlery and napkins are provided and that place settings are complete
  • Check and maintain updated, clean, and wrinkle-free menus
  • Maintain cleanliness in work areas throughout the day through continual cleaning procedures
  • Monitor seating availability, service quality, safety and guest welfare in dining areas
  • Comply with company safety policies and procedures
  • Report accidents, injuries and unsafe conditions to management
  • Undergo safety training and obtain certifications
  • Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance
  • Protect company property and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Use clear and professional language when speaking with others and answer phones using proper protocols
  • Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships
  • Support team efforts to achieve common goals
  • Listen and respond appropriately to coworkers’ concerns
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and expectations
  • Stand, sit or walk for extended periods
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors
