Job Requirements
- Must be personable and outgoing
- Previous restaurant experience preferred
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders including employees and the general public
- Ability to speak and write clearly, concisely and persuasively using correct grammar, spelling and punctuation
- Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy and organization
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Ability to perform with considerable independence and initiative

Job Duties
- Manage timely and efficient seating of guests at Merwin's Wharf
- Assign patrons to tables suitable for their needs and according to rotation so servers receive an appropriate number of seatings
- Greet guests upon their arrival and seat them and provide menus
- Answer phones to take reservations, respond to customer inquiries, or transfer calls to the appropriate staff member
- Maintain a clean, safe facility and ensure compliance with health department codes and regulations
- Assist restaurant staff as needed
